PostSubject: Reading Practice/Reading Games   Reading Practice/Reading Games Icon_minitimeMon Jan 28, 2013 9:47 am

This thread is now open for reading practices! Sad

Here is the game practice I said I would post. I saw it on another forum called Aeclectic Tarot. The way they play it is like this:

One poster write a question, the next poster will draw 2 cards to answer that question and post the 2 cards she got along with the interpretation.
After that, in her turn she ask a question (that's what keep the game going Smile )

As usual, the one getting the answer to her question will post a feedback so that it helps everyone to learn.

*********************************
So now I'll start the game by asking a question:

"Do I need a formal course to better use the Oracle?"

(Now, remember if you are the next poster, you will draw 2 cards to answer my question and post them along with your interpretation. Then, don't forget to ask your own question! Sad )

Thanks for your participation! Evil or Very Mad

this looks intertesting! thanks for posting this up Razz i hope i'll have like a question every time lol. can we also do basic stuff like how is my day going to be or something.

so i guess i'll start lol.

"Do I need a formal course to better use the Oracle?"

answer:

clouds + stork

interpretation: it is uncertain at the moments, things are confused and brings complications. but things will stabilize, change.
so....i'm not sure if there is an answer for that yet. i'm uncertain how to interpret this exactly, but it looks to me as though there are things that have to be revealed before the answer can be given.
hope that makes sense lol.
also, it worth noting that since i've always done spreads with a base, the first time i did this, it was with a base. i got the book. what's funny is that when i re-did it with no base, i did check the bottom out of curiosity and voila, there the book was again! it's just interesting as it matches with the spread!

------------
my question:

"will the study i want to do go smoothly?"

whi all! I'm back from my vacation sunny

OK Lakshmi, I'll try to answer you:

Snake + Child

hmmm. I don't know what kind of study you mean, but I think the cards give out that you need to have two strenghts: you need to be cunning and able to pose profound questions. A child is asking he most philosophic questions easily, kids are so amazing. I would say your studies will crave you a little extra but you will be able to do it if you use your wits to the best. It's not a walk in the park, but, you have what it takes.

LadySibella, feel free to jump in and share your opinion about how those two cards should be interpreted together!

Now my question:

"Should I try to reconnect with a certain old friend of mine?" I'll call her Lydia here, that's not her real name but maybe it helps in the divination to have a name!

Ok, right now I will say how I would have interpreted the readings and I'll be back later on with the cards I will draw to answer Frederique's question! Smile

@ Lakshmi

For my question: ""Do I need a formal course to better use the Oracle?"

You got

clouds + stork

Personally, I would interpret that as:

If I would follow a formal course on the Oracle, this would clear up any uncertaintities, clarify anything I am not too sure about the cards, would correct the ups and downs (the Clouds) and because of that would produce positives changes (The Storks)

Therefore, with the info the Oracle gives, I deduct that "yes, I need to follow a formal course to better use the Oracle"

@ Frederique:

Lakshmi's question was: ""will the study i want to do go smoothly?"

You got:

Snake + Child

I would say that for me it means there will be some tricky parts, not so easy to deal with (Snake) mixed with very plain, basic and easy ones (Child)

Will it go smoothly? Not all the times....

*******************************************

General info on how to interpret:

What I have noticed by experience is that when we interpret a reading we must keep a close attention to the question that was asked because the Oracle will answer directly to that specific question. This is as much important as asking a precise question. I say that because the way you interpreted the card you got Frederique is "accurate" It is a sound meaning of that combination "but" regarding Lakshmi's question it is just a bit off and a "bit off" from what she ask. The interpretation as you gave it would have been right on target, if Lakshmi had asked "How should I handle the study I want to do, for it to go smoothly?"

In that case the question would have been the request for an "advice" on what to do, to have the study go smoothly and your interpretation would have been right on target! "you need to be cunning and able to pose profound questions...."

If you have any question don't hesitate to ask. Now I have to go for my walk but i will come back to answer your question! Smile

Frederique, I didn't get a chance in the end to have a quiet time to answer your question but I will do that tomorrow morning before I start on my own readings.... Among others, I still have to do my monthly reading with my Tarot d'Eltynne (its name is deceiving as it is not a tarot but the new face of the Oracle Belline) it is a wonderful and amazingly accurate Oracle.

Usually it is better to have a name to focus on when doing a reading but for the sake of privacy we can do without a real name. Moreover, I will focus on you using your name and it will be fine.
Moreover, it is not the 1st and probably won't be the last....I have done Tarot readings for people I knew nothing about and without real names and they were successful so no problem! Smile

So I believe the answer is that, yes, that would be a good idea! and the outcome should be positive. Smile

My question:

"Is Twilight's urinary problem going to be fixed?"

Hi LadySibella,

I will not try my Lenormand on your question yet, now is not the perfect time for me to concentrate on that but have you checked Twilight's blood sugar? My mom's cat has had urinary problems too and he nearly died because we thought it was just a territory marking thing but turned out he has diabetes! When we finally went to the vet, his glucose was through the roof and was given some insuline right away. Now he needs it twice a day, so we stick a needle in him every morning and evening! I just wanted to share this, it never came to our mind that cats could be diabetic as well.

all the best to Twilight! Wink

:ty: Frederique Hug

When i went to the vet she said that she had a urinary infection and that her bladder wall must be thickened because she pees so often and so little. Visibly antibiotics are not a solution for her (she got some without success)...I did some researchs and found out that holistic Vets prescribed a certain homeopathic remedy (I was able to order it today. No store in my area sell it) and I bought some Cranberry at the store. Tonight I gave her the Cranberry supplement and will continue according to the instructions I had found until I receive the homeopathic remedy.

I would never have imagine that cat also get diabetes, thanks for letting me know. I assume that she doesn't have that as the vet didn't mention it as an option but if I don't see any improvement I will go back and ask for a test. The vet said that the type of UTI she has is linked to stress. She said some cats stress more easily and I know she has always been a scady cat for not much, like for example when my dogs bark at what they see outside, or if there is too much commotions she runs off and hide. I got her because she must have been dumped, she just arrived one day at my place, she was very young like 6 weeks so I think she must have been traumatised to be on her own so young.

awe so sorry i missed so much here!!! i can't keep up sometimes with how the days go awe

sibella, i sure hope twilight is doing better now!! Razz it's not fun dealing with things like that. i guess that's sorta of a downside of taking cats, but i know that's how i work!! lol. they need a good home anyway and i'm sure twilight appreciates the fact.

i'm sure you'll find the right fix for her!

------------------

thank you frederique for answering my question!!! Hug and thank you sibella for the add info!! Embarassed

i'm sure i will indeed encounter some difficulties, but i'll just have to push on lol. can be daunting though. i have not started yet, there has been a change of plans, but i think i will be able to start soon now....see how it goes!

and yea, i gotta agree sibella, it really can be hard to interpret the cards correctly! sometimes i just stumble, or i just can't see the whole picture...other times...i'm just stumped Crying or Very sad

but that's why we have a study thread!!! luv

Thanks Lakshmi!, Twilight is already doing better with the cranberry extract and I'm waiting for the homeopathic remedy I ordered! It has shipped so I'm expecting it any days!

Things have been going crazy for me too! There are so many things I want to do and time keep slipping out of my hands! Today, I was out prospecting and didn't get a chance to study my new Tarot! Sad

awe, well best of luck!!! which haha, the reading looks good. yea i finally got some time to do it!
sorry it took me sooo long.

My question:

"Is Twilight's urinary problem going to be fixed?"

Ok. I got the child + clover

It would seem that you will be fortunate and that the problem will be fixed. The child may be speaking about twilight's youth and vitality? Which would play a role in this question. Child card can also mean growth, I think. Which may also mean that she'll "outgrow it"?
Hope this made sense lol.

My question:
Should I go to the R.G. retreat this march?

I don't think I will go, (don't feel up to it) but I wanted to get some more info before the final decision.

Thanks Lakshmi for your reading! Yep it makes sense! And it is definitely a good news!
The Child can also represent Twilight as she is young and that would mean that Yep, she is a lucky girl and she has good luck on her side to recover....
Also I wanted to point out that the Clover can also talk of "natural remedies" and it is true that she is benefiting from an homeopathic remedy and some cranberry extract Sad

Coffin + Storks

Visibly the idea is over with now, you have completely decided not to and moved on....
So, you should not.

********************
Note: it is quite interesting to see how the cards answered! You visibly have made up your mind and reached a point of no return "Coffin" So the cards kind of say "why ask if you should? It is dead done with and you have already moved on"

My question: "Will we be able to buy the summer grass seeds on time?"

so that's pretty cool that you got the coffin!

Wow, I'm so happy about Twilight! so great that the natural medicine is working. And so cool that the clover represents it! luv

Here's a question we could study:

"How does my ex see me now?"

I'm asking this because he is visiting me in my dreams still, after over a year we broke up...I've moved on and he even has a new girlfriend but I wonder, why do I still keep seeing him in my dreams! Fit I rather not to Very Happy Oh and we can call him John if we need a name.

Hi again Sad

made the table about my ex by myself, as he came AGAIN to my dream...

and I got

Flowers
Tower
Tree

I don't know if I see that right but the Flowers seem to tell me that he's not angry about how things went (I was the one walking out on him) but that he mostly reflects on what we had in a good light. The Tower I think is saying that even though he has a new relationship he is still feeling lonely (as he was when he was still with me, it's a long story). What I mean that he hasn't changed. And that the new girlfriend is not managing in making him feel better, just like I didn't. He had severe problems with alcohol and self esteem, he was from time to time suicidal.
Then the Tree. That's a conundrum, I really don't see what it could be about. All I get is that "he's getting older" like when trees are growing...and that he's woken up to that fact maybe just now. He's already in his thirties, he was older than me.

Ok so that was that practice. I have another question:

should my studies not advance as I hope (meaning: if I fail the BIG EXAM this spring), should I try to focus more on them next year and quit the part-time job I'm having right now? Because sometimes it just feels like I'm torn between the two, and that the job keeps me from studying as well as I could. Then again quitting the job feels a bit like "landing on nothing", I'm still years away from being able to work in the field I'm studying.

Thanks a bunch from all the thoughts on this!! Rolling Eyes

How does your ex see you? I got:

Lily + Fish + Woman

Base: Tower

He sees you like a very independant woman (Fish) that has her head on her shoulder (Lily), that is strong and kind of intimidating at times "like not the damoiselle in distress type of woman" (The tower)

To understand more about it I asked 2 more questions:

What does he feel about you?

Cross + Ship

Base: Lily

He seems to feel that even if the parting was a painful experience for him, it was for the best. He might also feel kind of bad about the way it ended and you both went your separate ways. As the Cross speaks about pain and also guilt. But visibly he made his peace with it (Lily)

"Why do you dream about him when you have moved on and he has another girlfriend?"

Ring + Whip + Moon

Base: Child

It seems that there was chemistry between you two that is somewhat difficult to forget for you, maybe you miss it deep inside (Ring + Whip) also a lot of feelings for him, emotions and you have still romantic thoughts or desires buried inside of you (whip + Moon) so you are releasing them in your dream life. Possibly your relationship was not only with chemistry but also romantic...

The Child as a base tells us that even though it's been over a year it is still too fresh for you deep inside and you are still parting with him, so the dream comes to heal your feelings. What we try to cross out, bury inside of us with our will has to come out nonetheless for a complete healing and this is done with our dreams...Then, we can really turn the page.

Hope that helped! Smile

Confused Just saw your next post!

If that was how he sees you now:

I will say:

"Pretty, attractive and positive nature (Flowers) but also strong and independant (Tower) With the Tree, well grounded and wise having a healthy lifestyle, doing great with your life. With all that I think he admire you.

Wooooow,

Embarassed

thank you so much Lady Sibella! I can't believe I've never asked before! That all makes perfect sense. And all that you said is so true...I was intimidating to him at times because he saw me as "too good for him", and we'd have terrible fights over that too. Like education and somewhat artistic talents could make you a "better" person from some one else! But oh, that suits very well. He could be incredibly romantic, yes. It was magnetic, we ended up together in he first 48 hours of meeting the first time and lived together in total for almost nine years. For me it's a long time, it's about a third of my whole life. So of course it's hard to forget, and feels fresh even though it's been almost two years.

I'm just so amazed how you could hit the nail on the head. It's like you knew him, our relationship from the inside. These cards are just gold! Cool

I am so happy you didn't read my post Very Happy your reading is so much better! Oh how I wish I could be fluent with Lenormand someday too...

I guess my soul tends to hook on to people and it takes a long time for it to heal. But so good to know that it's nothing more, than just the final waves of the sorrow pouring out.

Thanks again, I will cherish this wisdom. :sun105:

You're welcome Frederique, I'm glad I was able to help! Smile

Now back to your other question:

Frédérique wrote:

Then again quitting the job feels a bit like "landing on nothing", I'm still years away from being able to work in the field I'm studying.

Personally, I don't do readings that cover a too long period of time. I've never done it with the Tarot and I won't do it with the Lenormand. Why? because too many factors can change the course of our lives when looking at a full year or more....One change of mind, one decision, one turn, etc...can completely change the course of what was "supposed to happen". When I do a "New Year Reading" (with the Tarot, never tried with the Lenormand), and get something for each month of the year, I always take it a "general forecast". Something that will just give the tone of each month, as only a potential, etc...but never as "This WILL happen in March, June, etc..."

Right now you have not taken your test and even if you are concerned of failing it doesn't mean you will. Therefore, asking a question over a far future concern, on the assumption of what would happen this Spring is too far stretched. It is better to focus on the actual exams and what would help you succeed. Then IF, you fail....then it will be time to ask if you would do better by not having a part time job.

So back to what matters now, I did do a reading but asking something different.

"What should frederique's attitude be toward her upcoming exams?"

Birds + Sun

You need to speak about them positively, get into positive affirmations.

Apart now from my interpretation, I will say visualize yourself, at the exam, visualize yourself confident, writing down the answers to the questions with ease, seeing yourself remembering every bit of info you have learned. See yourself thinking before your paper and suddenly a smile illuminates your face, because Yeah! you know the answer you remember! Then see yourself being done and see yourself being congratulated and handed a diploma....

This will help you, I don't promise you will pass, but it will surely increase your chances. You must feel like a winner to become a winner.

Now, I did a 2nd reading, asking:

What should Frederique do to pass her upcoming test this Spring?

Fish + Lady (that was a 2 cards cut and it gives you the most important thing about it)

This tell us that the main thing to do is to be independent, and take things in your hand, follow your own agenda, be your own boss....and you are capable of that. Also, the Fish tells you to have an adventurous spirit...Like a explorer would go ahead believing he/she will find what he/she is looking for....

Then I got 5 cards:

Storks + House + Man + Mice + Fox

Make some good changes at home, probably make sure to have a space to study without being disturbed like if you were not there. You have to keep in mind to be independent, on your own. For the time of your exams you are advised to work things around to feel like if you are not in at home. You focus on the exams nothing else. Don't let "daily life" get in the way. You'll have plenty of time to care for them after your exam. At home make any positive change that is needed to have your mind on your exam, to not be distracted from your goal.

Then, we have a man! in the middle of all that....Visibly a male figure, or a man will have something to do with your exams.
Is there a man in your surroundings, a family member, or boyfriend (whether or not romantically involved), or a teacher at school or colleague, or a neighbor, that could make you stress over your work? A man that maybe by is attitude or his negativity would make you stress over your work, or make your work more stressful? A man that could make all your preparative work crumble to pieces?
If there is such a man don't listen to him, don't let him be around you, don't let him stress you, eat you up...Again, like the Storks tell us from start, you must do some "cleaning" in your surroundings, move things around positively...so that would apply to that man or male figure also. For the time being, while you have to take your exams, you are advised to "move him out" of your surroundings.

Note: we could also interpret that man as someone "breaking down" (Mice) your load of work (Fox) but I'm not sure; because the main point of your reading was for you to be independent "Fish + Lady" take charge, because you are capable.

Hope that will help! Wishing you the best success!!! Positive thoughts from the US will accompany you! Hug

Hey there!
I found this topic, which is great but also noticed it is kind of dead. Can we revive it?? I think I should learn to use the lenormand, so practice would be very helpful for me.

So, I assume you'll be ok to revive this topic :p
My question is: Should I take a new course to better read the tarot/lenormand? I'll do the reading for myself and compare with what you get!
This is quite similar to Sib's first question on this topic, it must be a sign of a rebirth of it :p :p
