| I've seen that kind of practice done in other forums... the "Mundane Predictions", we can choose any subjects. For example, we can look into * the Elections in a country, * anything from the news, like what will be done for the planet, * outcome of a world problem like the climate, famine, etc..., * about celebrities, * the box office "how will "---" movie will do when it comes out". * anything of notoriety Now, what we want to make sure is to choose a topic that we can verify not too long after we do the reading, etc... This is all for fun, we are not one of those famous fortune teller, giving their yearly predictions, on national television... if we get it wrong, well it won't harm anyone! | |

| Well, I'd like to start with the Catholic Family Synod that is going to start Oct 4th and will end on Oct 25th. It's been quite on the News in the USA, don't know about the rest of the world but I assume just as much.
One of the main subject that will be debated upon, is the fate of the divorced/remarried Catholic. Will the Catholic church let their divorced/remarried members receive communion or will the ban remain in place (up to now, a divorced/remarried Catholic doesn't have the right to receive communion as he/she is considered living in a state of sin).
Some bishops who will be present are for letting them receive communion, but the way they would set that up remains something they will have to settle during this Synod.
So if you want to try yourself at predicting on this news event, you can ask:
What will be the outcome of the Family Synod? Will the divorced/remarried Catholic be allowed to receive communion, and if so how [meaning, will it be on a "self-examination of conscience" basis or by letting a local leader decide after examining case by case] This is what was proposed by those in favor of letting the divorced/remarried Catholic receiving communion.
We have 3 weeks before the outcome will be announced. Personally, i'll try to do that as early as i can to not be influenced by whatever could leak from that Synod in the news. | |

| - My Reading :
So, here i copy paste my reading. This is the question i asked:
"Will the Divorced/Remarried Catholics be allowed to receive communion on a self-examination of conscience basis?"
I used my GW tarot 1+2 Past/Foundation: 4 of Chalices + 8 The Crone
[Only admins are allowed to see this image] [Only admins are allowed to see this image]
This shows that the divorced/remarried Catholics have been much distressed, and unhappy about their situation. Thing is the Catholic church has forbidden Divorced/remarried to receive the Holy Communion which is the central part of any mass. For a Catholic it is most important to commune with Jesus Christ through the consecrated host. But they were to sit at mass looking at others partake while not being allowed like they used to. Which brought much sorrow and a pouting feeling like the lady on that card. Though the Host is served "the man at the door with the cup" and is visible it is still kept from the Divorced/Remarried "the lady" by the gate in the entrance way. The dragonfly flying over the head of the Lady tells me that they have been longing for a renewal, a total change of policy. The Flowers in the pot in front of the Lady speak of their desire… Until now, they have only been able to "receive communion" spiritually, while desiring for the fullness of the sacrament…. by being able to eat the host. Still they/the Lady cannot do anything but swallow the pill which brings the discontentment.
With the Crone, I can see that the only thing that they have been able to do is to draw from inner strength, have enough maturity like the Crone to endure, relying on their faith to subdue their "lion", walk with it until their perseverance would let the miracle happen and their situation be changed, this being shown by the walking stick blooming at its top… and with those white flowers, I'll say "until they are washed white as snow" thus restored into the fold, having the same right as others to receive communion. The flowers blooming on the Crone's walking stick, along with the dragonfly tell me that they have been moving toward restoration.
3+4 Present situation 10 of Athames + Queen of Chalices

Right now they are very much concerned about their situation, they are suffering but looking for healing to come, looking for the end of their ban (the Witch is using a mandrake which is a root for healing, overcoming obstacles), they are probably praying (the Witch has cast a circle for a spell, thus she is definitely trying to improve her situation) and counting on Jesus Christ to be by their side, watch over their interest (the wild boar family). Right now they can only wait in faith, that their prayers be heard (the smoke coming up from the cauldron) The circle made of Athames also makes me think of the debate that is going on about the Divorced/remarried (the Witch) and…
The Queen of Chalices, tells me that they are debating whether the "Mother Church" as they call it, will be a merciful/compassionate Mother. Will the Church be attuned with the suffering that it has cast upon the Divorced/remarried by banning them from the Eucharist? As the Queen on the card, the Church hold the Holy Host and decides who will receive it. Will the Church be sensitive to their plight as shown by the crab coming out of the water. The fate is in the hand of the Church but the Holy Mother of the Church is the Virgin Mary… that would be the ultimate aspect of the Queen of Cups, this comes to me especially looking at the wreath of flowers upon the queen's head. With the cards I got for the answer, I really think it could show the support of the Holy Queen of Heaven, Mother Mary.
5+6 Answer Ace of Pentacles + 7 of Pentacles
[Only admins are allowed to see this image] [Only admins are allowed to see this image]
Wow, I'll say there are big potentials for the Divorced/remarried Catholics to see the ban upon them lifted up! When I looked at the card what struck me was the big pentacle in the sky that I saw as the Holy Host, Jesus Christ himself, watching over his flock "the sheep on the pasture" and as the Good Shepherd having gathered all His sheep together… the sheep are all regrouped on the image, I do not see any that is on its own further away, neither in the dark areas of the pasture! They are gathered in what is like a circle of light that for me comes from the Pentacle/Holy Host above. It makes me think of the words of Jesus "one flock" under one "Shepherd", the Host is there for all. Also, the Church is for me represented by that big farm house and the Pentacle/Holy Host is also above it, so the Church has to respond to Jesus The Ultimate Shepherd.
The fact that they will be reinstated into all the sacraments of the Church, thus be able to receive communion is also shown by the presence of the sheep gathered together/all the members of the church, in front of the house/church.
Now, I think that the 7 of Pentacles specifies the fact that it should be done under the basis of a "self examination of conscience". The man is "prayerfully, diligently" looking at his work, giving the final touch to that pentacle, polishing it. There is much consideration and some evaluation in his action. This is for me representing an act of self-examination when the believer is making sure he/she is in right standing to receive the Holy Host. The bird passing by makes me think also of "conscience, and freedom", which is also part of a self examination of conscience. Once all is "polished" one can feel free in his/her spirituality. The man has done a work, and it's all in view on the "table", this is really like the expression "when all the chips are down", "putting it all on the table", you lay it out in the light, it is all out to be seen, examined and it is the responsibility of that man to examine his work…. Alone (this contrasts with the 3 of Pentacles where "others" are involved) thus again a sense of self examination.
Because the man on the picture shows he has worked for a while, I believe that shows the steady walk that has been done in the direction of lifting the ban that is over the Divorced/remarried. Prayers that must have gone up about it. But It could also show the other side of the coin, where some leaders of the church Bishops and Priests, have looked closely upon the plight of the Divorced/remarried. They have worked on finding a solution for them, examining what was going on, examining the doctrine of the Church.
I drew a 3rd card for more info and the 6 of Wands came out!

Here again I can't help but seeing the Divorced/remarried Catholics freed from the ban and winning this battle. I see them being honored by the Church thus totally restored. The bird shows that they've been freed...All would have to acknowledge their triumph like the passersby on the card. I think those people represent the other Catholics those who have maybe look down on the divorced/remarried. With the banned parading, they are to accept the fact that the divorced/remarried can now take part at all the sacraments like the others.
The soldiers in the front are for me the leaders of the Church Bishops and Priests. So they are vindicated in the eyes of the lay people and clergy. This makes me think about the fact that among both the lay people and clergy there have been some "holier than thou" who have fervently opposed the ban to be lifted and who have been hoping and praying that nothing would be changed. These people will have no choice but accept when the Divorced/remarried are honored with a "wreath and a parade", I think it also points out to the Year of the Jubilee that Pope Francis is setting up as of December 8th, knowing that a year of the Jubilee is a year when all is pardoned and all is made white as snow.

| well that's odd, i was sure it was on here! okay here it is again: - my reading:
1. what comes in favor: [Only admins are allowed to see this image] Good mature action will be taken. Perhaps the Pope will have a good alluring take on the matter that will draw others to his cause. Like the lion he's in charge and has loyal followers. 2. what comes against: [Only admins are allowed to see this image] The unseen threads of life. As nothing has happened yet (it has not started) the future is unclear and liable to change as there is so many people who will vote on this. 3. Answer: [Only admins are allowed to see this image]
Yes going by all the cards here I think the answer is yes. A new change; a better one. Catholics will do so through self examination

| Lakshmi for re-posting! quite interesting and i'll say going in the same line as my reading! For the Queen of Wands that you've got, i would add that "his actions will be done with the warmth, sensitivity of a woman, that the church who in Catholic theology is said to be a "mother" will act as a caring mother instead of acting more "practically" it's not really the word but you see what i mean, acting like men do... Well, not much to wait now! I don't know if something will leak right after the Synod ends but i think that we should know something by Monday! | |

| well, don't have much time anymore to post, but we were quite on target with our readings! in the end even if they didn't get it all open, they did say that now, divorced remarried catholics could receive communion if they talk it over with their priest and bishop and if after a examination of conscience and situation it is shown that they could. It is visibly on a case by case basis rather than a general right given to all. | |
